This turned out to be one of the most interesting days of the tour so far, with the Khanya Mtyeku doing the splits during his dance at St George’s Grammar ! And at Oude Mollen, the girls ran off the stage when they were asked to dance. Note : Jared fell with the speaker and now he just can’t stop talking about it, he he… and Mzi’s mixes are getting more and more popular with the colleges and schools as we go along with the show. Eish, I’m getting jealous, because he’s been asked to dj on Valentines day! Nice one, Mzi…
It’s halfway through the week and loving it! We went to some awesome schools since Monday and had some schools with LOADS of energy. They could lend Escom some! Thanks to you guys who gave us those amazing responses. The Glen High nearly even had Pascal and I partying out of our boots! I even treated some schools to some very rare Watkins dance moves, not too sure if they were cheering me on or laughing at me, either way there was some great energy in that hall. Hope we get all the schools left during the week to rival The Glen’s energ…! Looking forward to it guys, we’ll see you soon. And for those struggling at the moment at school just know, The Harder You Fall, The Higher You Bounce! This Is Chris Watkins Signing Out For His Blog
I really must hand it to you boys at REDDAM HOUSE COLLEGE, where we visited on Wednesday. Jared Srong, the winner of the Standard Bank backpack… Great dance! You took us by storm…. the break dancing was great stuff!
And so we reach the half way mark of the Standard Bank Rocking Future Roadshow Pretoria tour! But this time, I think my luck might have turned around, as all I did today was injure myself while putting the set up and taking it down. I dropped a speaker on my foot, I jabbed myself in the ribs, tweeked my knee, bumped my head and worst of all, I hurt my thumbnail! But luckily, we started the week by visiting two awesome schools. At Pretoria-Noord High School we woke everyone up, and even though it was raining when we left, we left everybody smiling. As for Loreto Convent School, even though they are a small group, they really appreciated us coming. Plus, they got treated to some rare dancing from yours truly! I loved all the cheering, hope to see you all soon on our Facebook page.
And just remember… If you never jump, you stand no chance of flying! (that’s a Watkins original, use it if you want)

Love spending time with all you awesome schools, hope you guys are having fun partying with us. We have had so many adventures since Monday, it’s crazy! Of course, my team has won the majority of the time, and we would’ve won at ALL the dance offs if Pascal hadn’t been cheating 90% of the time! He even went to the extent of calling up an extra dance member for the girls for assistance, because the girls obviously couldn’t beat the guys honestly!
But even when cheating, none of the girls could hold a candle to the main dancer at Cornerstone College today. It was nice for once to see a guy who could shake his waist better than any of the girls! Looking forward to seeing everyone next week and good luck to everyone who is a fan on our facebook page because today is the day we find out who the first winner is…
This is Chris Watkins signing out, and remember – Love The Life You Live And Live The Life You Love!

The journey is more important than the end! Just done 10 schools with over 40 to go, with wonderful schools visited. Thanks for the cool comments on our facebook page, guys. It means a lot to us. I have to say, I’m loving cape town!
So far so good… We have had four shows and great responses from all the schools. Thank you to all who have commented on our facebook page. It’s great to know we help so many people.
I don’t know if I should be flattered or worried that I was called “oom” yesterday at HTS John Voster! Do i really look that old?????? It seems that the more schools we see, the better the dancing becomes, so Zwartkop High School, you better be ready to tear the roof down because Pretoria Technical High School was doing some crazy dance moves today!
Three days left ’til The Weekend!
I’ll be checking in with you guys on Thursday!
Signing out…

Today was a Great day, we moved faster and had much more energy since the beginning of the roadshow. . .which is good seeing that we have only been doing it for two days!
We were greeted by the very well mannered and respectful boys from St. Albans early in the morning. We had a great show where we saw my team (the good looking team!) walk away with three awesome and exclusive t-shirts from Standard Bank! Not long after that, we visited the beautiful Crawford college where we had a great show with a lot of response from the school, and we even saw one guy who claimed he couldn’t dance take off his shirt! Hmmm… Still wondering if he was trying to get a girlfriend, wonder if it worked? If so, maybe I’ll try it! Now we’re all looking forward to next week’s schools. If you’re in Pretoria, check out the calendar here on the website to see when we will be in your area! And lastly but definitely not least. . .IT’S THE WEEKEND BABY!!!! Enjoy it!
